Definition:
The person or corporate body responsible for the creation of the original work.
Consult the Library of Congress Name Authority File (LCNAF) or the Union List of Artists Names (ULAN) for correct form of name. For names not found in LCNAF or ULAN, enter personal names in inverted form: last name, first name, middle name, birth and death dates. Enter corporate names in full direct form.
